New law within the smoking fighting program came into force in UAE

On Tuesday January 21st, in the United Arab Emirates the new antismoking law which provides considerable toughening of control over the use and sale of tobacco products came into force. So, within the new law sale of tobacco products to persons below 18 years old will be forbidden, as well as smoking in the privately owned vehicle if in it there is also a child aged below 12 years old.
Smokers under 18 will be fined for the sum equivalent to 2.7 thousand dollars.
It is worth reminding that now in the country it is allowed to smoke only in specially separated places — in cafe and bars it is forbidden to smoke. Now it will be forbidden to smoke also in educational and religious institutions.
